BIG MOUNTAIN (FREERIDE) TRAINING PROGRAM

The Big Mountain (Freeride) Training Program is our dedicated winter track for athletes who want to push their all-mountain riding to the next level: stronger technique, smarter choices, and confident execution of freestyle aerial tricks.

Running from December 17 through April 15th (15 total sessions), athletes train weekly in a structured environment where progression is intentional, safety-driven, and repeatable.

Program Price & What’s Included

$480 for the full winter program

  • Includes: Basic Freestyle Membership (a $320 value over the season)
  • 15 weeks of coaching with in a small group setting.
  • Individualized feedback and personalized progression plans.
  • Access to SNÖBAHN ski/ride training environment.
  • Limited to 12 athletes to keep coaching high-quality and individualized.

Trick Progression (based on ability + age)

Learn spins, off-axis tricks (flat spins, corks), and age-appropriate flip progressions, from fronts and backs to doubles, all earned through safe, prerequisite-based coaching. *Inverts aren’t allowed in Big Mountain comps for athletes under 18.

Keith Shipman

Freestyle and Fitness Director

Keith Shipman brings elite-level freestyle coaching experience to SNÖBAHN, having worked with top programs including the US Freeski Park & Pipe Team and the Park City Ski & Snowboard Freeski Team. He has coached athletes across the FIS NorAm Cup and World Cup competition tours, and offers specialized expertise in trampoline coaching, dryland training, and long-term athletic development.

At SNÖBAHN, Keith leads both the Every Athlete Fitness Program and Freestyle Coaching Program, with a primary focus on enhancing safety and improving how athletes build skill in freestyle disciplines. His coaching style is centered on giving athletes (and coaches) the tools to progress confidently—especially in training environments like trampolines, big air, and skate park—so sessions are not only more effective, but also smarter and safer.
